Freezing temps have arrived!November 2nd, 2019 | by Brittany Bandy | Posted in Uncategorized
We just begged for Fall to arrive… and now just look at us! Frost has come to most of the Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky area leaving us bundled up and dealing with our first sub freezing temperatures of the season!
If you don’t drain and switch off your sprinkler system, hoses, and outdoor faucets before freezing temperatures strike, you could cause permanent damage to them. Drain hoses and store them in the shed, garage, or basement until spring, and consider covering outdoor taps with foam pipe insulators or foam faucet covers for added protection.
We sent a reminder to the inboxes of our clients this week encouraging everyone to unhook those hoses to prevent freezing of water in the pipes inside the house resulting in bursting of those pipes. It’s a simple step to take to prevent a big headache later. While our warranty is something we are very proud of here at Crabbe Homes, this is something that isn’t traditionally covered by a builder’s warranty.
